Every game holds certain history and so is Golf. When it comes to Golf History there exists a little confusion whether the game is invented by the Chinese or the Dutch or the Scottish. Earlier a game was played which was quite similar to Golf, mentioned in mentioned in Dongxiang Records which is a Chinese book of the Eleventh Century. The game has been evolved over the years hence making it quite popular among the players. It has not always had 18 holes as it was started with 11 holes initially.
By 1744, this game started becoming very popular among the masses as a group of men called Gentlemen Golfers decided that a set of rules must be laid out for fair play. Afterwards, major changes were made to the game particularly the equipment used to play the game. Golf balls designs would evolve by using rubber and man-made materials which made the ball fly longer on a drive. . The wooden golf tee would make the drive easier.
